Haiku Submission Guidelines

Haiku have been written for at least 400 years in the traditional format

Line 1 – 5 syllables
Line 2 – 7 syllables
Line 3 – 5 syllables

Nowadays, haiku are written with one, two or four lines as well as the usual three,
and the syllable count varies. 

Minimalism is still required, with no unnecessary words
in the presentation of a pivotal moment. 

WAH invites submissions of traditional or contemporary haiku, and photo-haiku:

     up to 5 haiku/haiku-style poems [max 3 published per writer per edition]
    
up to 3 photo-haiku, JPG or GIF format max 100kb
     biog no more than 40 words [required]
     optional photograph
